Blog for today:
The start of today would be a good day for flying kites, bloomin' windy!  and not in our favour either.  Still, you cant winge too much, you just got to get your head down and get on with it.  Not long to go now and I will be back in London, peace & quiet - no more humouring the jerk.  It was an ok ride, lots of nice scenery and a variety of views, green fields and barren desert like bush.  The most excitement we had was when a small heard of cows escaped and walked the road in front of us.  We were pretty worried as we have seen the way people drive in this country and I was soon expecting a cow to come hurtling through the air and hitting one of us, more than likely me!   Last night we soaked again in a natural hot spring which ran into a river, where the previous few nights, a group of bears had been spotted

The  dam and reservoir was pretty impressive.  I had stopped briefly at a small store, very nice staff, had a laugh and watched some of the Olympics.  The scenery was amazing yet again as we cycled around the dam then into Oregon!! the last state, woop woop!  I'm outta here lol.  By this time it was pretty god dam hot!!  no shelter, just blazing sun.  I guess in a few weeks I will be wishing for the same as I will be in grey wet London.  I stopped at another store to top up my water and take a quick break.  The women in this shop was a little bit crazed, winging about putting our water bottle tops touching her drinks dispenser.  Turns out that later in the day when the other riders came through, she went even more ballistic, threatening to throw one of the guys out the shop lol.  Good fun.

More hills and lovely scenery & views.  Lots of blue coloured/stained rock, not sure if it was the copper which was mined around here, or another element.  Didn't want to pick any up though.  More hills and then a puncture about 4miles from camp.  It was a slow one and I tried to ride it out, but it eventually went down.  Cycled a bit more to find some shade.  Changed the tire in record breaking speed and set off again.  For dinner I did Spag Bog' and made pancakes too.  They seemed to go down just as well as the cake the day before.

That night Gina bought a dog she called Halfway, woof!

The cake worked this time!  woop woop
